A double distilled English wheat vodka, seasoned with Japanese rice koji. Buttery foundations meet umami savoury notes and a whisper of salinity. East meets West in every bottle.
THE LABEL A modern geisha shows her sensu, the folding fan of Nihon Buyō, the traditional dance that shares its roots with kabuki theatre.
Salinity makes way to umami richness from the rice koji.
Warming black pepper notes build through the middle.

Kabuki Koji is a collaboration between Lucky7 and Spirits of Anarchy, bringing culinary inspired spirits to drinks makers of the world. Robert Wood has spent more than twenty years changing the status quo of cocktail drinking, from the tasting menus of 18/81 and Smultronställe to Lucky 7, his izakaya-inspired bar in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. The Kabuki artwork spoke to him before we did. The same painted energy covers the walls of his own bar.
Robert’s own serves, from a two-minute highball to a stirred showpiece. Pick your difficulty.
